PCHF | Postgraduate Course in Heart Failure
Certificate of Advanced Studies from University of Zurich in Heart Failure
Heart failure has become a broad epidemic worldwide, calling for a new type of cardiology specialist. To address this still unmet educational need, the heart failure team of the Department of Cardiology founded the Postgraduate Course in Heart Failure (PCHF) in collaboration with the Heart Failure Association and the European Heart Academy of the European Society of Cardiology in 2014. A two-year course of 160 teaching hours of highly interactive lectures, case seminars, clinical rounds, live-transmissions, hands-on-courses on imaging, device programming as well as virtual reality training of interventions and implantation, the PCHF leads to a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Heart Failure of the University of Zurich, CAS UZH.
To date, more than 320 PCHF alumni from all over the world form a formidable international network of alumni dedicated to the principles of modern heart failure management.
